LA MIRADA -- The So Cal Shepherds (7-2, 7-2) swept the Orange County Legends (3-2, 7-6) in a doubleheader Saturday at Biola University.

The Shepherds defeated the Legends 8-3 in Game 1.

Chad Ragland (Florida State College of Jacksonville) contributed two RBI and scored once. Clayton Espino (Kansas Wesleyan) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.

Orange County was led by Conrad Villafuerte (Colorado Mesa), who had three knocks and scored two of the three Legend runs.

Philip Wall (University of Northwestern St. Paul) earned the win, tossing six solid innings.

Game 2 was one of the most wild Sunset League games of the season.

Orange County led 8-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning.

That's where it all changed for the Legends. The Shepherds plated one in the sixth and seventh innings and added two more in the eighth to cut the deficit to 8-5. In the 9th, the Shepherds walked off, scoring four runs to complete the doubleheader sweep.

Pierson Loska (CSU Dominguez Hills) had a huge day, blasting a home run, three hits, three RBI and two runs scored.

Graham Dvorak (Samford) ripped a solo shot.

The Shepherds were led by two-RBI performances by Nic Costas (Brookehaven), Colton Back (Ashbury) and Chad Ragland.

Sebastian Dunn (Florida State College of Jacksonville) and Matthew Cho (Whitman) each added one RBI and scored twice.

The Legends look to rebound Sunday against the Signal Hill Oilers.

The Shepherds are off until Friday, when they host the Ventura County Pirates.
