FULLERTON -- The Inland Valley Pirates (4-4, 7-8) defeated the So Cal Sparrows (4-3, 5-8) 6-2 Thursday night at Amerige Park.

Inland Valley struck early and often as their six runs were plated in between the second and fourth innings.

The Pirates play again Saturday in a doubleheader against the So Cal Shepherds at Biola University.

Meanwhile, the Sparrows go head-to-head with the Orange County Legends on Sunday at Hart Park.
