FULLERTON -- The Inland Valley Pirates defeated the So Cal Sparrows 8-2 Friday night at Amerige Park.

Dennis Hildebrandt (Hope International) led the way, finishing 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Isaiah Montoya (Citrus College) went 3-for-4 with a run scored. Hayden Schott (Cypress College) contributed two hits, one RBI and scored once.

Avery Rivera starred on the bump, tossing six inning and allowing just three hits. The lefty from San Bernardino Valley College claimed five strikeout victims and allowed no runs.

Trevor Lukkes (Ohio) and Alexander Shadid (Orange Coast College) each ripped two base hits and scored once.

Inland Valley has a doubleheader on the docket on Saturday against the So Cal Shepherds at Biola University.

Meanwhile, the Sparrows take their show on the road to Hart Park on Sunday when the face the Orange County Legends.
