Coronado -- The Solana Beach Redbirds defeated the So Cal Sparrows 10-0 Wednesday in Coronado.

Solana Beach came out of the gates with four in the first and continued to pour it on throughout the game.

Kyle Dobson (Irvine Valley College) and Joseph Canty (Saddleback College) blasted home runs.

Brycen Mautz (University of San Diego) earned the win, tossing five shutout innings and striking out nine, while only allowing two hits.

The Redbirds are looking for their third straight win against the Signal Hill Oilers, who they'll play Thursday at Long Beach City College.

The Sparrows look to rebound Saturday in a doubleheader against Solana Beach.
