Van Nuys -- The Signal Hill Oilers defeated the Ventura County Pirates 10-7 Tuesday at LA Valley College.

Braxton Hutcherson (Cypress College) starred, finishing 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Tony Monroy, Josh Fisher, Nick Reddick, Anthony Reyes and Myles Thompson all contributed two RBI.

Ventura County got home runs from Jason Ajamian (LA Valley College) and Frank Garriola (Hope International).

Signal Hill hopes to build upon this momentum on Thursday when they face the Solana Beach Redbirds.

The Pirates host the So Cal Sparrows on Thursday.
