LA MIRADA -- Don't look now, but the Solana Beach Redbirds (7-9, 10-13) are the hottest team in the league. They defeated the first place So Cal Shepherds (10-5, 10-5) 13-4 on Sunday at Biola University and have now won six in a row.

The winning streak has seen major offensive fireworks from the Redbirds. They've outscored opponents 72-20 in this stretch and appear to be a major force to be reckoned with in the Sunset League moving forward.

Solana Beach looks to make it lucky number seven against the Inland Valley Pirates at home on Tuesday.

The Shepherds have a road contest against the Signal Hill Oilers on Tuesday.
