LA MIRADA - Well this was your game if you wanted offensive fireworks on the 4th of July! The South Bay Sliders (7-7, 13-9) defeated the So Cal Shepherds (11-6, 11-6) 9-7 in 10 innings Thursday at Biola University.

The Sliders jumped out to a 6-2 lead at the end of four innings, but the Shepherds fought back to knot it up at 7-7 in the 7th.

Alex Seguine finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Cody Wissler (Chico State) was 2-for-5 with two RBI and scored once. Ian Brady (El Camino College) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored.

Austin Caulk blasted a home run. Brett Cobb (Cisco Community College) finished 3-for-3 with one run scored.

The Sliders have a weekend series with the Orange County Legends starting Friday at Brookhurst Park.

The Shepherds next play the So Cal Sparrows in a doubleheader on Saturday at home.
