The season is winding down and a few teams have already clinched playoff spots.

The Ventura County Pirates (16-8) have clinched and are currently leading the North Division by 1.5 games. Their magic number for clinching the division and a first round bye in the playoffs is 3.

Jason Ajamian (8) and Frank Garriola (7) are blasting home runs all over the yard. They are also the top two RBI producers in the SBL. Garriola leads with 37 and Ajamian has 28. Kyle Soberano has been stellar, boasting a .465 BA and Cole Kitchen has been cooking all season long with a .500 BA.

Deandrey Carter has posted a microscopic 1.01 ERA. Carter is also third in the lead in strikeouts (35).

The South Bay Sliders (13-9) have a magic number of just 1 to clinch a playoff spot.

Cody Wissler has hit .343 and has been an offensive leader for the Sliders. Jake Habelitz has been the ace of the staff with a 2.25 ERA and 26 strikeouts.

The So Cal Sparrows (8-15) are in the thick of the playoff hunt. The magic number to clinch is 7.

Robert Haw has led the way, hitting .324. Tommy Acuna leads the team in RBI. Seth Hoetker has been great on the mound posting a 1.47 ERA.

The Signal Hill Oilers (5-16) need a miracle. They are still mathematically in it, but need a lot of help.

David Rivera, Tony Monroy and Braxton Hutcherson have paved the way for the offense. Ryan Murphy has a 1.59 ERA.

In the South, the So Cal Shepherds (15-8) lead the Redbirds by one game and have clinched a playoff spot. The teams still have two games against each other to come.

Austin Caulk leads the team with six home runs. Sebastian Dunn leads the team with a .316 BA. Philip Wall has been the stabilizing force of the staff tossing 43 innings, a 2.09 ERA and 25 strikeouts.

The Solana Beach Redbirds (14-9) are the third team clinch a playoff spot, but are still in contention to win the South.

Gaige Howard is hitting .392. Brycen Mautz has a 1.39 ERA.

The Orange County Legends (13-11) magic number to clinch a playoff spot is 1.

Conrad Villafuerte has been awesome this season, batting .487. Pierson Loska leads the team with six home runs.

Will Anderson is having another great season with the Legends, posting a 1.61 ERA.

The Inland Valley Pirates (8-17) are fighting for the final playoff spot. They play the Sparrows the final game of the season in what could be a virtual play-in game for the sixth spot in the playoffs.

Isaiah Parra is hitting .385. Benji Gonzales has a 1.62 ERA.

The Sunset League Playoffs start next Tuesday.
