LA HABRA -- The California Cage Rats (1-0) defeated the So Cal Shepherds (1-3) 10-6 Monday afternoon at Whittier Christian.

It's the first win in the SBL for the Cage Rats.

Jake Baer (New Mexico St) was the star of the game, launching three home runs and producing six RBI.

Jackson Van Ness (Anderson University) starred for the Shepherds with two RBI.

The Cage Rats next play the Signal Hill Oilers on Friday.

The Shepherds host the OC Legends on Tuesday.
