The Sunset League is proud to unveil the first pitchers of the week for the 2021 season. There were a number of great performances already and the league decided to honor co-pitchers of the week.

Dylan Chalmers (Lassen CC) tossed five excellent innings for the East LA Dodgers in a league matchup against the Ventura County Bucs. Chalmers allowed no earned runs, just two hits and struck out nine.

Humberto Chiquito (CSU Dominguez Hills) was stellar for the South Bay Sliders. The junior tossed five innings, allowed no earned runs, gave up just one hit and struck out eight in  a league matchup against the California Cage Rats.

Julian Eskridge (Chico State) was electric for the OC Pirates. The freshman hurled six innings on the week, allowed no earned runs, and surrendered just five hits, while claiming nine strikeout victims.
