LONG BEACH -- The California Cage Rats (3-1) defeated the Orange County Legends 9-2 Sunday at St Anthony High.

The Cage Rats were keyed by a five-run third inning.

Calix Armijo (Cerritos College) blasted a home run and two RBI. Joey Gould added two RBI.

Bruce Yamamoto displayed electric stuff on the mound. He twirled six innings, allowed no runs and struck out 10.

John Shukur (New Jersey Tech) finished 2-for-2 for the Legends.

The Cage Rats will play the Signal Hill Oilers next on Monday.

The Legends (1-4, 1-6) will face the East LA Dodgers on Tuesday.
