The Best of the West had a number of great performances in Week 2, but three players separated themselves for this week's player of the week honors.

The hitter of the week is Cole Smith (Saint Louis). The Inland Valley Buccaneer finished 6-for-10 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored.

There are co-pitchers of the week. First, Roy Washburn (Arizona Christian) had a stellar performance against the Long Beach Legends. The So Cal Shepherd ace tossed seven innings, allowed two runs, struck out nine and earned the victory.

The other co-pitcher of the week is Trevor Garcia (Fresno State). The Ventura County Pirate hurled seven innings, allowed two runs, struck out four and earned the win against the Inland Valley Pirates.
