LA HABRA -- The Inland Valley Buccaneers defeated the So Cal Shepherds 9-7 Saturday at Whittier Christian.

Christian Carlos (Benedictine) was the star of the game. Carlos blasted two home runs, five RBI and finished the game with four hits. Manny Salinas (Rio Hondo) also had a big day, finishing with three hits and two runs scored.

For the Shepherds, Jake Lopez and Joey Scotvold (Rio Hondo) both smacked home runs.

The Bucs (4-8) take on the Ventura County Pirates on Sunday.

The Shepherds (5-8) have a matchup with the Inland Valley Pirates on Sunday.
