COVINA -- The #1 Inland Valley Pirates defeated the #2 Ventura County Pirates 13-3 Wednesday at Charter Oak in the Best of the West Playoffs.

Bret Bowers (Citrus College) led the way with three RBI. Julian Alvarez (Riverside City), Ryan Charles (UNLV) and Julian DeLeon (Taft College) all added two RBI.

Inland Valley advances to the championship on Friday.

Ventura County will take on the #3 Long Beach Legends in an elimination game on Thursday for a spot in the Best of the West Championship.
