ORANGE -- The Inland Valley Pirates defeated the Ventura County Pirates 5-2 in Game 3 of the Championship Series. The Pirates won the inaugural championship of the Best of the West in both the regular season and postseason.

Jacob Sharp (Fullerton College) ripped two RBI. Dominic Martinez (Fullerton College), Cole Koniarsky (USD) and John Pappas each contributed one RBI.

This wraps an excellent season for the Best of the West. We look forward to another outstanding season next year.
