Ventura County Bucs Score Three Runs in Bottom of 9th to Defeat Inland Empire Bucs, 5-4, in Tuesday's Sunset League Battle

The Ventura County Bucs held their spot atop the Sunset League standings after Tuesday dramatic win.

The VCB scored twice in the bottom of the first inning and got three in the ninth to claim a 5-4 victory over the Inland Empire Bucs.

Evan Avitia went four scoreless innings for the IEB.

Avitia surrendered just one hit, walked three and struck out two.

Taylor Takata was saddled with the loss, allowing three runs on two hits over his three innings of work.

He walked three and fanned one.

Robert Pitts doubled and drove in three runs in Tuesday's win.

Jack Bickerton doubled, scored and had one RBI.

Teran Rowan walked four times and scored, and Noah Nicolas and Trent Turquand walked and scored one run apiece.

Moran also pitched three scoreless innings for the ICP, allowing one hit, didn't issue a walk and struck out three.

Zachary Terry got the win.

Terry went one scoreless, allowing one hit, one walk and struck out one.

Robert Valdivia singled twice.

Isaiah Lopez walked twice and scored.

John Olivares and Jakob Taylor walked and scored one run each.

Kanan Treece walked and singled.
