The East LA Dodgers Catch So Cal Shepherds in BOTW Standings After Thursday's 7-5 Victory

The East LA Dodgers jumped into a two-way tie for second place in the Best of the West League standings thanks to Thursday's 7-5 victory over the So Cal Shepherds.

ELAD got five runs in the bottom of the second inning, one more in the third and for all intents and purposes, four Dodgers' pitchers made that stand up.

Geo Hernandez got the win, allowing two runs on five hits over his four innings.

He walked three and struck out three Shepherds' batters.

Lino Zepeda went two scoreless innings and Juan Guardado provided one scoreless inning.

SCS got three runs (two earned) on two hits off AJ Ortiz.

Andrew Lujan went 5-for-5 with a solo home run and scored twice in the loss.

Shane Poe doubled twice and scored.

KJ Moo-Young walked three times and scored twice.

Brandon Adams singled and had an RBI, and Rhett Stein and had one RBI.

Charlie Pierce was stuck with the loss after allowing five runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk over two innings.

Alex Loera singled, doubled twice and scored.

Michael Cunningham walked, tripled, scored and had two RBIs.

Michael Rosales singled twice, drove in two runs and scored.

Jose Marquez walked, singled and scored.

Matt Flaharty singled twice and had an RBI.

Daniel Santos walked, singled, scored and drove in one run.

AJ Ortiz singled and scored in the win.
