Chris Ceballos Throws 5 Perfect Innings & Strikes Out 4 in Inland Valley Pirates 12-0 Victory Over Long Beach Legends

The Inland Valley Pirates continue to separate itself from their Best of the West League competition.

After Saturday's 12-0 victory over the Long Beach Legends, IVP improved to 9-2.

The Pirates nine wins is four more than the next closest opponent (East La Dodgers).

Former COHS/current Westmont College pitcher Chris Ceballos went five perfect innings to earn the win.

Ceballos needed 46 pitches to get through five innings and struck out four LBL batters.

Jonathan Robinson provided three scoreless innings in relief, allowing two hits, walking a pair and striking out four.

Jacob Gonzalez didn't allow a run or hit in his one inning and walked two.

George Sonora walked and singled, and Jack Collins had the Legends only other hit.

The Pirates totaled 13 hits off four LBL pitchers.

Evan Vazquez got the loss, allowing six runs (two earned) on six hits over three innings.

He walked one and struck out one IVP batter.

Jacob Badawi had a game-high three hits and drove in one run.

One night after hitting a two-run HR, Anthony Gibbons doubled, scored and had three RBIs.

Beau Betten had two singles and scored a pair of runs.

Brent Cota went 2-for-5, with an RBI.

Conner McKinney singled twice and scored.

Anthony McFarland singled, scored twice and had an RBI.

Daniel Garcia singled and scored twice.

Ignacio Alvarez walked three times, singled and scored.

Austin Haller scored twice in Saturday's win and Isaiah Marquez crossed the plate once.
