So Cal Shepherds Defeat Inland Valley Bucs, 4-2, Despite Being Out-Hit, 12-6, in Sunday's BOTW Showdown

The game of baseball can be strange at times.

Like it was on Sunday when the So Cal Shepherds met up with the Inland Valley Bucs is a Best of the West League contest.

In a game that featured 18 combined hits, eight of which were of the extra-base variety, and seven walks, both programs combined for just six total runs.

Stranger yet, the Bucs out-hit the Shepherds, 12-6, and still fell short.

Andrew White got the win, going five innings and allowing just an unearned run on five hits.

White walked one and struck out four.

Nin Burns walked, singled and scored.

Ryan Kim singled and drove in a run.

Nate Slaman and Christian Killian both singled and doubled.

Hayden Winters, doubled, scored and had an RBI.

Dante Catalino walked and doubled and Ben Lee singled twice in Sunday's loss.

Anthony Silvas got the loss, allowing two unearned runs on one hit.

Silvas went five innings, walked four and struck out eight So Cal batters.

Aaron Zubiate doubled, tripled, scored and drove in one run.

Andrew Lujan singled, doubled and scored.

Rhett Stein walked three times and scored.

Drew Salyers singled and scored for the Shepherds.
