Ventura County Pirates Pull Within One Game of First-Place Inland Valley Pirates After Tuesday's 4-2 Victory

The Ventura County Pirates pulled to within one game of the first-place Inland Valley Pirates on Tuesday.

VCP got two runs in the top of the second inning, and one each in the seventh and ninth to claim a 4-2 road victory.

Trevor Hinkel was struck with the loss, going five innings and allowing two unearned runs on two hits.

Hinkel walked one and struck out six.

Angelo Aleman had an RBI double.

Jack Burke singled, doubled and scored.

Nolan Lingley and Andrew Tovar singled and scored.

Ryan Camacho walked and scored.

Andrew Buglino doubled, while Jovan Camacho and Eli Paton had one single apiece.

Alex Abbot went four scoreless innings for Ventura County, surrendering four hits, walking two and striking out one.

Josh Yosfan allowed one run on three hits over his three innings.

He walked two and struck out one.

Daniel Parra was charged with an unearned run on one hit in his one inning of work.

And Brady Schrank provided one scoreless and hitless inning.

Schrank walked one and fanned one IVP batter.

Cole Koniarsky singled twice and drove in one run.

Dominic Martinez doubled and scored, and Gabriel Rico walked and scored.

Spencer Rasmussen and Conner McKinney had one double each in Tuesday's loss.

Kyle Dobson walked and singled, and Jack Haggerty and Braydon Wooldridge had one single each.
