Ventura County Pirates Slug Their Way to 11-4 Victory Over So Cal Shepherds on Tuesday

The So Cal Shepherds took a two-run lead into the top of the fourth inning in Tuesday's Best of the West League showdown with the second-place Ventura County Pirates.

The Pirates, however, would go on to score the next nine runs in an 11-4 victory.

Andrew White got the loss, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits.

White went five innings, walked two and struck out five.

Andrew Buglino had a big game for the Pirates.

Buglino walked, had two doubles, a single, two runs and an RBI.

Andrew Tovar walked twice, doubled, scored and had an RBI.

Daniel Laughery went 2-for-4, with two runs and an RBI.

Ryan Camacho singled three times and drove in a pair of runs.

Jovan Camacho singled twice, had an RBI and scored.

Angelo Aleman singled and scored two runs.

Lee Brandzel scored twice in Tuesday's win.

Alex Abbot was credited with the win.

Abbot went five innings and allowed four runs on seven hits.

He didn't issue a walk and struck out seven SCS batters.

Shane Poe and Andrew Lujan doubled, scored and had one RBI apiece.

Rhett Stein singled, doubled and drove in a run.

Aaron Zubiate singled three times and scored.

JP Hefft walked twice, singled and scored.
