Arroyo Seco Sentinels Edge East LA Dodgers, 2-1, in Tuesday's Best of the West League Showdown

 The Arroyo Seco Sentinels inched one step closer to locking up the third seed in next week's Best of the West League playoffs.

Jake Moore and Joe Jimenez combined to all but silence the East LA Dodgers' bats in Tuesday's 2-1 victory.

Moore went five scoreless innings, allowing four hits, walking one and striking out six ELAD batters.

Jimenez surrendered one run over four innings.

Jimenez allowed just one hit, walked five and fanned three.

Alex Sardina walked twice and scored.

Michael Cunningham walked and had an RBI.

Dylan Schumacher went 2-for-2, and Matt Flaharty had one single.

Ryan McLernon got the loss, allowing two runs on five hits over six innings.

He walked one and struck out a pair of Sentinels' batters.

Tommy Castillo singled twice and drove in a run.

Jason Givens walked and scored.

Antonio Andrade singled and doubled.

Jake Trabbie had an RBI base hit.

Anthony Salcedo and Cam Slessor had one hit each.

Bryce Cerminelli scored once in Tuesday's win.
