The Ventura County Pirates (5-0, 1-0) continued their impressive start to the season with a 10-1 rout in their SBL season opener against the OC Orioles (0-1, 0-1).

Lucas Thrun, John Serrato and Grant Mona each ripped two RBI.

D'Andre Sanchez and Micah Higa both scored twice.

Dylan Ross (1-0) earned his first SBL victory tossing five innings and only allowing one hit, while striking out seven.

The teams meet again on Saturday at 12 p.m. with the Orioles hosting the Pirates.
