The Ventura County Pirates (9-0, 4-0) continued their best start in program history with another victory Wednesday night at LA Valley College. 

The Pirates defeated the South Bay Sparrows (3-3, 1-3) 18-7.

Kyle Lathrop had great production out of the leadoff spot finishing 4-for-6 with four runs scored. Grant Mona and Tyler Dietrich also scored three runs each. Darren Kriz belted three RBI.

The Pirates' next game is against the Solana Beach Cardinals on Friday at home. The Sparrows will host the Inland Valley Pirates on Friday.
