This week the SBL celebrates co-players of the week for the first time as Kobi Allen (Ventura County Pirates) and Michael Borg (OC Orioles) had stellar performances.

Allen (University of the Pacific) went 8-for-14, which is good for a .571 BA. He scored six times, batted in three RBI and added a couple of extra base hits. In addition to that, he had a huge game-tying RBI with two outs in the bottom of the ninth against the OC Surf in absolute thrilling back-and-forth affair.

Borg (Concordia University) went 9-for-15 for a .600 BA this week. He scored four times and ripped four RBI as well.

Finally, the pitcher of the week has been awarded to Andrew Brown of the South Bay Sparrows. Brown tossed 8.2 innings allowing no earned runs on seven hits and three strike outs. Brown (Pomona Pitzer) had his best performance of the week against the Ventura County Pirates in a 3-1 victory. He tossed 5.2 innings in the game and earned the win.
