The 2017 playoff seedings and times have been released. The #1 seed is the South Division champion Solana Beach Cardinals (18-7). The Ventura County Pirates (17-8) earned the #2 seed by winning the North Division. The Inland Valley Pirates (16-9) won the tiebreaker over the OC Surf (16-9) for the #3 seed by defeating them in the head-to-head season series.

The tournament will feature four excellent teams and should be an absolute thrill to watch unfold.  All games will be broadcast live on our website. The games will stream on the home page. Any game not including Inland Valley will be on in the first screen on the top right. Any game featuring Inland Valley will be on the second screen underneath.

All games will be played at Cal Poly Pomona.  Below is the format for the games on Wednesday, July 26 and Thursday, July 27…………

Wednesday July 26th (CPP)

• Game 1 – #2 VC Pirates (Home) vs #3 IV Pirates (Visitors) @ 3:00 pm
• Game 2 – #1 Solana Beach Cardinals (Home) vs #4 OC Surf (Visitors) @ 7:00 pm

Thursday July 27th (CPP)

• Game 3 – #3 IV Pirates vs #1 Cardinals @ 11:00 am (Loser of this game is eliminated)
• Game 4 – #4 Surf vs #2 VC Pirates @ 3:00 pm (Winner of this game advances to Championship Game)
• Game 5 – Winner of Game 3 vs Loser of Game 4 @ 7:00 pm (Winner of this game advances to Championship Game)

Saturday July 29th (Blair Field)

Game 6 - Championship

The Home team or Visiting Team will be determined on Thursday based on who was the Home Team or Visitor the day before.  If both teams playing each other were Home or Visitors the day before, then a coin flip will determine who’s home or away.

Batting cages will be available for both teams to use before the game – Home Team 1 hour and 30 minutes before game time for 35 minutes and Visiting Team 55 minutes before game time for 35 minutes.  No pregame infield and outfield since the field needs to remain prepped and game ready.  Teams can hit fly balls and ground balls in the outfield.

The League will provide water and game balls for all the playoff games.  Food will be provided on Wednesday at 5:30 pm by Taco Man with choices of Carne Asada or Chicken tacos with rice and beans) at no charge although we will have a donation jar for those who can afford to contribute.  Charlie Reynoso is sponsoring the food for all the players, coaches and fans.
