The Ventura County Pirates defeated the Inland Valley Pirates 6-4 on Thursday night at Cal Poly Pomona to clinch a spot in the SBL Championship.

Lucas Thrun, D'Andre Sanchez, Myles Hager, Griffin Hagen and Tyler Dietrich all had one RBI apiece. Jake Selco scored twice.

Nic Hernandez belted a home run.

Ventura County takes on the OC Surf on Saturday night at Blair Field.
