The Sunset Baseball League is proud to honor five players who were drafted in the recent 2018 MLB Draft, four of whom played for the Long Beach program.

Chris Williams (Clemson) was drafted in the 8th round by the Minnesota Twins.

Trevor Casanova (CSUN) was drafted in the 13th round by the Minnesota Twins.

Reese Berberet (LBCC) was drafted in the 18th round by the Colorado Rockies. Berberet earned SBL all-star accolades in 2016.

Rigo Fernandez (CSUDH) was drafted in the 24th round by the Chicago White Sox. He was a 2016 SBL all-star.

Another SBL alum, Tyler Depreta-Johnson of Houston Baptist was selected in the 35th round by the Texas Rangers.
