CORONADO -- The SoCal Sparrows (9-6-1, 7-5) continued their winning ways Friday in Coronado against the Solana Beach Redbirds (8-11, 4-10), but it wasn't easy.

SoCal earned a 9-6 victory, but saw a 5-0 lead completely erased in the bottom of the 4th. However, they answered immediately scoring two runs in the top of the 5th.

Jackson Lyon (Cal State Fullerton) had a big game ripping two hits, three RBI and scoring twice. Charlie Nusati (Purdue) belted a couple hits and two RBI. Nathan Church (UC Irvine) had two knocks and scored three times.

Both teams meet again Saturday in Coronado in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
