LONG BEACH -- The Long Beach Legends (33-12, 21-4) finished off their season in style with a Rafeeq Rahim walk-off home run in the 10th Sunday afternoon to defeat the Ventura County Pirates (18-14, 12-13) 6-5 at Long Beach City College.
After taking a 5-0 lead through five innings, the Pirates made a furious comeback including four in the 9th to tie it up.
Rahim finished 3-5 with three RBI and one run scored. JT Navarro added a couple of hits.
Max Sterner had a big day going 2-4 with three RBI.
Both teams will play in the playoffs on Tuesday at Long Beach City College.
The Legends will host the Oilers at 4:30 p.m., while the Pirates will face the Sparrows at 1 p.m.
