LONG BEACH -- The SoCal Sparrows staved off elimination with a 3-2 victory over the Signal Hill Oilers Thursday afternoon at Long Beach City College.

David Frontanez and Payton Walsh each ripped one RBI.

The loss means the Oilers are eliminated from the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Sparrows will take on the Ventura County Pirates later to determine who gets to play the Legends for the championship.
