Arroyo Seco Royals

The Arroyo Seco Sentinels are led by Nico Calderaro. Nico has been the Recruiting Coordinator and Pitching Coach at Pasadena City College the last 8 seasons. The Lancers are 1 of 6 So Cal Community Colleges to make the playoffs the last 3 full seasons. Nico is also currently one of the Owners of Baseball Census LLC, which is a scouting service that tries to help kids connect with Schools across the country.

Dodgers Win Sunset Championship

ORANGE -- The East LA Dodgers defeated the Arroyo Seco Sentinels 6-4 Sunday at Hart Park to win the Sunset League Championship.

Franco Alonso went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Jesus Sanchez (WLAC), Alex Sardina (UNLV) and Zach Dickason (Hope International) each belted one RBI.

The Dodgers win their first Championship in their first season in the Sunset League. Meanwhile, the Sentinels were the runner-up in their first season. 

All in all, it's been another excellent season of summer collegiate baseball in Southern California. The Sunset League looks forward to more top notch baseball next season.

Sentinels Even Series

ORANGE -- The Arroyo Seco Sentinels defeated the East LA Dodgers 4-2 Saturday to even the Championship Series.

AJ Anzai (Chapman), Raider Tello (Pasadena City) and Bodie Parker (Cerritos) all provided one RBI. Casey Popham (Pasadena City) was outstanding. He pitched six scoreless innings, only allowing three hits, while striking out three.

Game 3 is set for Sunday.
