The Long Beach Legends will play their ninth season as a collegiate summer baseball team and fourth as a member of the Sunset Baseball League. 

In nine summers, the LB Legends have earned the reputation as one of the best and most consistent collegiate summer baseball teams on the west coast. 

The 2018 Long Beach Legends had a historic year winning the Sunset Baseball League championship with a 42-12 overall record. 

As part of the Legends Baseball Club, the Long Beach Legends aim to serve college baseball players of the community with a first-class collegiate summer baseball experience.

VC Pirates Advance To Championship

COVINA -- The #2 Ventura County Pirates defeated the #3 Long Beach Legends 10-1 at Charter Oak to advance to the Best of the West Championship.

Jason Ajamian (CSUN) blasted a home run. Ian McIntyre (Vanguard) belted two RBI. Steven Gonzalez (College of Canyons) finished 3-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Deandrey Carter earned the win, tossing six solid innings.

Ventura County will take on Inland Valley in the Championship Series starting Friday.

VC Bucs Moving On

CLAREMONT -- The #2 Ventura County Buccaneers defeated the #3 Long Beach Legends 9-2 Tuesday in the first round of the Best of the West Playoffs at Claremont High.

Darren Taylor (Chaffey College) blasted a home run and three RBI. Dante Zamudio (West Virginia State) ripped two RBI.

Trevor Garcia (Fresno State) tossed seven innings, struck out eight, allowed two runs and earned the win.

Hank Schineller (Irvine Valley) led the way for the Legends with a home run and two RBI.

The Pirates advance to face the #1 Inland Valley Pirates in Game 3 tomorrow. The winner clinches a spot in the Best of the West Championship Series. The loser gets one more chance to clinch a spot in the Championship Series on Thursday in Game 5.

The Legends have an elimination game set for tomorrow. If Long Beach wins, they'll advance to Game 5 on Thursday for a spot in the Championship Series.

Pirates Make it 14 in a row

WESTMINSTER -- The Inland Valley Pirates defeated the Long Beach Legends 4-2 Tuesday at La Quinta.

Spencer Rasmussen (Azusa Pacific) and Gunner Antillon (New Mexico State) each blasted home runs. Hunter Antillon (New Mexico State) added one RBI.

Caden Aoki (Notre Dame) went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored for the Legends.

The Pirates (12-4) look to continue their winning ways in a doubleheader Wednesday against the Inland Valley Buccaneers.

The Legends (10-8) take on the Trosky Redbirds in a non-league matchup on Wednesday.
