The Ventura County Pirates Baseball Club is a high caliber and high quality organization in the Southern California region.

Our program is coached by skilled and knowledgeable former collegiate and current MLB Scouts, dedicated to developing our players into high caliber collegiate athletes. We specialize in developmental baseball instruction for athletes wishing to compete at a higher level. We strive to help our athletes reach their personal and athletic goals and to prepare them to compete at Collegiate levels.

Our goal is simple: to develop student athletes of success and integrity. We strive to help our players serve as positive members of their team. We strive to instill a positive attitude in our athletes so they are willing to recognize the importance of mental and physical growth in the development of their baseball skills. We try to help our athletes reach their full baseball potential and meet their own personal goals.

BOTW Players of the Week

Another amazing week is in the books for the Best of the West. This week, five players separated themselves from the pack.

We have co-pitchers of the week.

Martin Najera (Irvine Valley) of the Long Beach Legends had a great outing. He tossed five innings, struck out three and allowed no runs.

Sebastian Diaz (Cypress College) of the Inland Valley Buccaneers also had a stellar performance. He twirled five innings, struck out four and allowed no runs.

There's also co-hitter of the week.

Christian Carlos (Benedictine) provided power for the Inland Valley Buccaneers. He went 5-for-12 with six RBI, two home runs and three runs scored.

Kyle Soberano (Illinois State) had a great week as well. He finished 9-for-22 with four runs scored and one RBI.

Lastly, Julian Alvarez (Riverside City) of the Inland Valley Pirates has earned all-conference honors. Alvarez finished the week 5-for-11 with four RBI and two runs scored.

IV Pirates Sink VC Pirates

CYPRESS -- The Inland Valley Pirates defeated the Ventura County Pirates 9-5 Thursday at Cypress College.

Inland Valley used a four-run seventh inning to break a 5-5 tie.

Julian Alvarez (Riverside City) had a big day with three hits, two RBI and two runs scored. Cole Koniarsky (USD) added two hits and one RBI.

Grant Schoen (Pepperdine) starred for Ventura County with three hits, two RBI and one run scored.

Inland Valley faces the Long Beach Legends on Saturday.

Ventura County has a non-league game with Conejo Oaks on Saturday.

VC Pirates Get Big Win

VAN NUYS -- The Ventura County Pirates defeated the Long Beach Legends 8-5 Wednesday at LA Valley College.

Kyle Soberano (Illinois State) and Johnny Pacheco (CSULA) each produced two-hit days. Jason Ajamian (CSUN) blasted a solo bomb.

The Legends were led by Michael Flaherty's (Grinnell) 3-for-3 performance.

Ventura County (7-7) faces the Inland Valley Pirates on Thursday.

Long Beach (9-5) has a matchup with the Inland Valley Buccaneers on Thursday.
