The Ventura County Pirates Baseball Club is a high caliber and high quality organization in the Southern California region.
Our program is coached by skilled and knowledgeable former collegiate and current MLB Scouts, dedicated to developing our players into high caliber collegiate athletes. We specialize in developmental baseball instruction for athletes wishing to compete at a higher level. We strive to help our athletes reach their personal and athletic goals and to prepare them to compete at Collegiate levels.
Our goal is simple: to develop student athletes of success and integrity. We strive to help our players serve as positive members of their team. We strive to instill a positive attitude in our athletes so they are willing to recognize the importance of mental and physical growth in the development of their baseball skills. We try to help our athletes reach their full baseball potential and meet their own personal goals.
The East LA Dodgers moved into second place in the Sunset League after knocking off the first-place Ventura County Bucs, 6-4, on Wednesday.
Sam Dawson got the win, going six innings and allowing four runs (two earned) on eight hits.
Dawson walked four and fanned three.
The Dodgers got two scoreless and hitless innings from Mason Daniels.
Thomas Keller walked, singled twice, doubled and scored for the Bucs.
Robert Pitts singled, tripled, scored and had one RBI.
Kai Moran walked, singled and scored.
Rowan Teran had an RBI single.
Lee Brandzel walked three times and scored.
Brandzel was saddled with the loss, allowing six runs (one earned) on eight hits over four innings.
He walked one and struck out four.
Brett Abudayveh singled and drove in a pair of runs.
Tommy Goldbranson had three singles, an RBI and scored twice.
Daniel Ortega went 2-for-2, with two runs and an RBI.
Eli Somers singled and scored in Wednesday's win.

The Ventura County Bucs held their spot atop the Sunset League standings after Tuesday dramatic win.
The VCB scored twice in the bottom of the first inning and got three in the ninth to claim a 5-4 victory over the Inland Empire Bucs.
Evan Avitia went four scoreless innings for the IEB.
Avitia surrendered just one hit, walked three and struck out two.
Taylor Takata was saddled with the loss, allowing three runs on two hits over his three innings of work.
He walked three and fanned one.
Robert Pitts doubled and drove in three runs in Tuesday's win.
Jack Bickerton doubled, scored and had one RBI.
Teran Rowan walked four times and scored, and Noah Nicolas and Trent Turquand walked and scored one run apiece.
Moran also pitched three scoreless innings for the ICP, allowing one hit, didn't issue a walk and struck out three.
Zachary Terry got the win.
Terry went one scoreless, allowing one hit, one walk and struck out one.
