CORONADO -- The Long Beach Legends (7-3, 4-0) earned a 4-0 shutout victory against the Solana Beach Redbirds (2-6, 0-5) Thursday at Coronado High School.

It's the fourth shutout of the season for the Long Beach pitching staff. In this game, Austin Spinney (Cypress College), Garrett Rennie (Long Beach City) and Dylan Baird (Saddleback) each tossed three innings, combined for 10 strikeouts and allowed just four hits.

For the Legends, all of the damage was done in the 5th inning. Nolan Jekich (CSUEB) blasted a two-run bomb and Aaron Takacs (Montreat) added a two-run double.

Long Beach takes on the East LA Dodgers next in a non-league contest before hosting the Signal Hill Oilers Saturday for a doubleheader at Long Beach City College.

Solana Beach will travel to LA Valley College to face off against the Ventura County Pirates on Saturday in a doubleheader.
