The Ventura County Pirates Baseball Club is a high caliber and high quality organization in the Southern California region.
Our program is coached by skilled and knowledgeable former collegiate and current MLB Scouts, dedicated to developing our players into high caliber collegiate athletes. We specialize in developmental baseball instruction for athletes wishing to compete at a higher level. We strive to help our athletes reach their personal and athletic goals and to prepare them to compete at Collegiate levels.

VALLEY GLEN --- The Ventura County Buccaneers defeated the South Bay Sliders 16-10 in a slugfest Thursday afternoon at LA Valley College.
The Bucs were led by Shaun Montoya (UC Irvine) who had a ridiculous game, finishing 5-for-5 with six RBI and four runs scored. Kenny Kim (Irvine Valley) went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
Nathan Cadena (San Jose St) starred for the Sliders with two hits and two RBI.
The Bucs (1-0, 4-1) take on the Arroyo Seco Sentinels on Friday in a Sunset League game.
The Sliders (0-2) face the East LA Dodgers on Saturday.
WHITTIER -- The So Cal Shepherds (1-3) defeated the Ventura County Buccaneers (3-1) Wednesday afternoon 5-1 at Whittier Christian.
Roy Washburn (Arizona Christian) earned his first victory of the season and was stellar on the bump. He tossed seven innings and only allowed one run.
Jake Lopez led the offense with a 2-for-3 day and one RBI.
Thomas Keller (LA Valley College) had two base hits and scored the lone run of the game for the Bucs.
The Shepherds play their final non-league game on Thursday before opening up their Best of the West slate on Saturday.
The Bucs face the South Bay Sliders in their first league game of the season on Thursday.
LOS ANGELES -- The Ventura County Buccaneers (3-0) continued their winning ways by sweeping a doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs Scout Team Sunday at LA Valley College.
The Bucs won game 1 by a final of 5-3 and earned a 7-6 victory in game 2.
In Game 1, Brent Swearingen (LA Pierce College) blasted a home run and finished 2-for-3. Andrew Cordero (Chaffey College) and Dane Nakatsuka each added two hits.
In the second of the twin billing, Nick Perez (College of the Canyons), Andrew Barrera (LA Pierce), Joseph Avrahamy (LA Pierce), Cordero and Nakatsuka all had one RBI apiece.
Ventura County travels to face the So Cal Shepherds on Wednesday before opening up SBL play on Thursday against the South Bay Sliders.
