VC Pirates Seeking Repeat

By Dave Sobieraj 06/09/2021, 4:45am PDT

The Ventura County Pirates have been one of the most successful franchises in the Sunset League and 2021 should be no different. Ventura County won the Sunset League in 2019 and in 2021, the Pirates move to the Best of the West division.

The staff will be led by Cole Dale (UCSD), Josh Howitt (UCSB), Jason Starrels (USC) and Danny Veloz (LBSU).

The lineup figures to be one of the most exciting lineups in all of Southern California. Kyle Soberano (Illinois St), Johnny Pacheco (CSULA), Joshua Cerpa (GCC) are among a star-studded roster that should put up a bunch of runs.

Ventura County opens with a non-league contest on June 10th. Their first league matchup is set for June 19th against the So Cal Shepherds.
