Sunset Baseball League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby 2024

The Sunset Baseball League hosted an unforgettable day of baseball excitement at Azusa Pacific University, featuring the highly anticipated All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. From start to finish, fans were treated to spectacular displays of athleticism, skill, and pure baseball fun.


The day kicked off with the league’s best sluggers stepping up to the plate for the Home Run Derby. It was a power-packed event as baseballs were sent soaring into the sky, landing in the In-N-Out parking lot and nearby housing complexes. The crowd was on the edge of their seats, cheering for each massive home run, as the participants showcased their incredible batting power and precision.


Following the electrifying Home Run Derby, the field was set for the main event – the SBL All-Star Game. The best and brightest stars of the league were divided into two teams: the American Team and the National Team. From the first pitch, it was clear that this was going to be a game to remember.


The American Team came out strong, unleashing a fury of offensive prowess against their opponents. Their bats were on fire, leading to an impressive display of hitting that kept the scoreboard busy. The game wasn’t just about the offense, though; it also featured defensive gems that left fans in awe. Players from both teams made spectacular plays, making highlight-reel catches.


In the end, the American Team emerged victorious with a commanding 11-3 win over the National Team.



The game was a showcase of high-level competition, with both teams giving their all and demonstrating why they were selected as All-Stars.


The evening concluded with a special All-Star Game trophy presentation, celebrating the American Team’s victory and honoring all the players who participated in the day’s events. The trophy presentation was a fitting end to a day filled with baseball excellence, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments.
