The Ventura County Pirates Baseball is a high caliber and high quality organization in the Southern California region. Our program is coached by skilled and knowledgeable former collegiate and current MLB Scouts, dedicated to developing our players into high caliber collegiate athletes. We specialize in developmental baseball instruction for athletes wishing to compete at a higher level. We strive to help our athletes reach their personal and athletic goals and to prepare them to compete at Collegiate levels.

We strive to instill a positive attitude in our athletes so they are willing to recognize the importance of mental and physical growth in the development of their baseball skills. The Pirates demonstrated this in 2017, winning the North Division championship.
FULLERTON -- The Inland Valley Pirates improved to (3-0, 5-4) with a 4-2 victory over their swashbuckling rivals the Ventura County Pirates (1-3, 6-3) Tuesday at Amerige Park.
For Inland Valley, they remain undefeated in Sunset League play and sit atop the South standings.
Meanwhile, Ventura County, which started the season so well, finds themselves at 1-3. Ventura County gets the chance to get back their early season momentum Wednesday against the South Bay Sliders.
Inland Valley's next contest will be a league matchup against the So Cal Sparrows.
The Sunset League is proud to unveil its selections for the players of week 1.
Roy Washburn (Arizona Christian) of the So Cal Shepherds was sensational allowing only one earned run in 13 innings of work. In his two quality starts, he posted a 0.69 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and eight strikeouts.
The Sunset League has co-hitters of the week in the first week of the season.
Bradley Chesterton (Chaffey College) of the Ventura County Pirates was stellar. The backstop went 8-for-15 (.533) with seven runs scored and five RBI for the week.
Joshua Sheck (Irvine Valley College) of the So Cal Sparrows joins Chesterton as co-hitter of the week. Sheck led the Sparrows in a big doubleheader sweep of Chesterton's Pirates. He finished the week 8-for-12 (.667) with one home run, 4 RBI and two runs scored.
IRVINE -- The So Cal Sparrows earned a huge doubleheader sweep of the Ventura County Pirates Saturday at Northwood High.
The Sparrows held on to win the first game 5-4 after taking a 5-0 lead. Ventura County mounted a rally that just fell short.
Adrian Campos (LA Valley College) crushed a solo home run.
Joshua Sheck (Irvine Valley College) went 4-for-4 with one RBI. Joey Holman ripped two RBI.
Bryant Durflinger (Cypress College) pitched five no-hit innings.
The Sparrows won the second game 11-6. The key was a five-run sixth inning.
Sheck's stellar day continued, as he followed up a four hit performance with three in Game 2. He blasted a home run and three RBI and tallied seven total hits on the day - not too shabby!
Jacob Nemeth (Azusa Pacific) cranked a home run and four RBI.
Ventura County faces Inland Valley on Sunday.
So Cal is off until Tuesday when they travel south to Solana Beach.
